Conditions we treat

Lower back pain

Chronic or recent lower back pain, muscle spasm, stiffness, and pain from strain, lifting, or long hours of sitting. Marma treatment and oil massage work to ease the muscles around the spine and restore comfortable movement.

Sciatica

Pain, tingling, or numbness running from the lower back through the hip and down the leg. Treatment focuses on the lower back, hip, and leg marma points to relieve pressure and pain along the nerve path.

Spondylitis: cervical and lumbar

Neck and back stiffness, pain spreading to the shoulders or arms, and reduced movement linked to cervical or lumbar spondylitis. Regular sessions aim to reduce pain and improve flexibility of the neck and spine.

Neck pain

Stiff neck, pain from posture or sleeping position, and tension headaches from tight neck and shoulder muscles.

Frozen shoulder

Painful, stiff shoulders with limited movement. Gradual marma work and massage help loosen the joint and recover range of motion.

Joint pain

Knee, ankle, wrist, and elbow pain and stiffness, including old sprains that have not healed fully.

Sports injury recovery

Sprains, muscle strains and pulls, ligament injuries, tennis and golfer’s elbow, runner’s knee, and recurring pain from football, cricket, running, gym training, and other sports. Marma treatment and oil massage help reduce pain and swelling, release tight muscles, and restore strength and range of movement so you can return to your sport safely.

Carpal tunnel syndrome

Numbness, tingling, weakness, or pain in the hand, wrist, and fingers, common among people who type, use a mouse or phone for long hours, or do repetitive hand work. Treatment works on the wrist, forearm, neck, and shoulder to ease pressure and restore comfort and grip.

Posture syndrome and posture-related problems

Postural syndrome develops from long hours of sitting, desk work, phone use (“text neck”), and driving. It shows up as rounded shoulders, forward head posture, upper back tightness, neck and shoulder strain, and lower back ache. Marma treatment releases the tight muscles and rebalances the body, and the Gurukkal can suggest simple corrective movements drawn from kalari practice to keep the problem from returning.

Paralysis recovery support

Traditional marma therapy to support movement, circulation, and strength during recovery from paralysis, alongside the care of your doctor. Please consult the Gurukkal first, and bring your medical reports.

Sarvanga Thadaval: full-body pain relief massage

A full-body traditional massage with herbal oils, working the vital points to relieve fatigue and body ache, improve circulation, and restore balance.

Karkidaka Chikitsa

Seasonal rejuvenation treatment during the Malayalam month of Karkidakam (July–August), when the body is believed to be most receptive to healing.
